 Christian Derefat, who gave the world the wonderful Virus and Karma has now come up with a new and fantastic design - the Virus 2. For those who never heard of the Virus - it is one of the most popular open design kites. Lots and lots of people downloaded its plans and made it at home.
The new Virus 2 is not that open source though, however it will be released by a well known and respected kite manufacturer. Well let's hope the name of the new kite makes it to the news pretty soon! Although this competition called Virtual Freestyle is running for a long time now (series 7 at these days) there are probably a few out there who never heard about it. You can watch the actual contestants at virtualfreestyle.net. Rules are simple. You have to submit one minute of constant unedited flying with your choice of freestyle tricks. The newest hype of the UK freestyle scene - the Jest of Eve Talon - got reviewed on khite.org by Bryan Beasley. As expected the Talon got really good marks but better read for yourself.
